You need to move. We need a white ethnostate in Idaho or Montana.

Go to Idaho, 406 is full.

406?

Area code for all of Montana. Most states that I know of have multiple area codes now because they would run out of phone numbers otherwise. Now if all the wildlife and guns in Montana had phones, they would probably need at least three area codes...

Gotcha. I think 406 has less than 1 million people in it. I'm was waffling but now I'm definitely moving there just to annoy a complete stranger. Cheers!!

You to new neighbor! I like the mountains. Where should I buy in MT?

Well if you like mountains, stick to the western half of the state. The eastern half is mostly flat. Only drawback to living in this area lately has been the wildfires. I'd stay away from the big cities too - but not too far because it is nice to be able to go to a Home Depot, Costco, etc. once in a while. Seems like most areas now have decent internet (DSL) and UPS delivers. What more do you need? :)

I love mountains. Honestly the only reason I'm a bit sketchy on Montana is grizzlies. I'd hate to surprise one on my mountain bike - it would probably ruin my day.

I'll be checking out various areas via RV at some point. Ideally I'd live near a decent ski area but realistically, a house in a resort community is probably out of my price range.

Ben Garrison lives in Lakeside, MT. There is a ski area (Blacktail Mountain) near there too. Cute little town, close to Kalispell - where there is a Chick-Fil-A :)

Ski resort in Whitefish, which also has the largest jewish population in MT. You can guess where it is expensive to live...

Seen many black bears, not too many grizzlies around as far as I know. You would probably have to go DEEP into the wilderness to even see evidence of one in the area. That would ruin anyone's day running into a grizzly, unless you were hunting one. I was out hiking a couple of weeks ago, saw lots of black bear scat once I got to high enough elevation. Bears really don't make me worry though, except if it is a surprise. I had just loaded my dogs up into the truck once when I saw a mama with three cubs. That was probably the closest I have come to having a problem. You just have to keep good situational awareness and try to avoid terrain with limited visibility. I always make sure my dogs are close when we approach a bend in the trail when hiking, and don't let them get too far ahead. Constantly scanning up, down, back.

I love mountains too, and rivers. Hate beaches - too many people, too much sun, too much sand, too much salt. Mosquitoes can get pretty brutal, but this year they haven't been too bad. Last two years prior were bad - still got scars on my ankles!

Sounds pretty awesome. I have an affinity for the ocean but to your point, it's usually ruined by the hordes of disgusting people shitting it up. I like the salt air though. But mountain wilderness is the best.

Wouldn't they be able to avoid a bear attack, assuming they're not dachshunds? I always figured a dog could handle itself in a bear encounter - not by fighting back but by being agile enough to escape.

Yeah they would be able to keep away from any bears. Mountain lions usually avoid dogs too. Mostly it is for my own piece of mind, also if anyone else was on the trail I want to see them before the dogs do. They are still pretty young, one usually keeps close to me, the other is a fruit loop and loves to run and chase wildlife - though he is getting better. It is more of a hiking protocol I want them to learn.

I like the salty air better on the West coast rather than the East. Makes my skin feel sticky though. Anytime I go in the ocean all I wanna do afterwards is take a shower. Also I have had some traumatic experiences in the ocean when I was a child. Stung by a man-o-war - scary because I could not see what was hurting me until I pulled a tentacle wrapped around my hand up out of the water. Screamed for help and see my father quickly moving away from me and towards shore saying "whats got you, blumen4alles?" Earlier than that my genitals felt like they were burning after going in the ocean, my mom had to remove my swim trunks and just have a towel wrapped around me. Still not sure what happened there, it only happened once, maybe there was something dumped in the water.

I love boats of all kinds though, and love to sail. Just don't like beaches, except for maybe at night (no people, no sun haha).
