Not sure how factual this is, is anyone in a position to check it out more? I was hoping to pool data on the alleged underground tunnels in DC. Several users have been curious as to the possibility of politicians and others using these tunnels to conduct their wrongdoings, and if there were any verified instances of secret tunnels it would be a great lead.

Yes there's underground tunnels all over DC, many of the suspected sights are over or near them. If you do a search here, I'm sure you would find over a dozen articles about it.
