If anyone lives near an opera company which puts on the Ring Cycle, I would highly recommend it. If you know you have the money, and know you like opera, it is even worth travelling to see.
It generally takes a week or more because the operas aren't performed back to back. And the total time will be somewhere between 15 and 17 hours depending on the production. But it is an experience unlike any other, and it is incredibly moving.

My regular visits to the opera are what I miss most in this NWO. I refuse to wear a muzzle so will probably never go again.
