Is there a defined period which specifies that a subforum can be taken over by a new mod after x days of inactivity? If it was defined, sure. But if it was not defined and we currently do not have issues with the subforum, I see no reason to transfer it. If there were a problem with the content, maybe it would be appropriate to add a new mod to co-manage the subforum. If we could transfer it based on undefined inactivity, then other subforums would also be open to grab by other users.

Edit:

it is kind of funny to think about taking over other subforums, since the userbase is so small on SVF.
