I'm sure that extra 20% is really going to turn South Africa around!
The reason Escom did so well during Apartheid was because prices were 20% higher than they were now.
One of the last things the nationalists did before leaving was to lower the electricity price 20%. The ANC had no idea that the nationalists did that, and so they've been governing the country for 25 years with power prices too low!
No wonder the country is in the state it's in: Apartheid not telling the ANC to raise the power price.
