In my original post I talked about weird things happening in a high class resort frequented by celebrities and politicians. Including an incident where a customer asked a staff member to "order him a teenage girl", like it was normal. Owned by America's 2nd richest African American woman Sheila Johnson, who has many big friends, including Obama.

Well, weird things are still happening there. A few weekends ago the entire resort was reserved under the name "Gates". "Dignitaries" from around the world were there, including Oprah Winfrey!

Minimal staff was used and resort security was told to"stand down". The group had their own security. The whole hotel was "swept for bugs". Truly bizarre according to my source.

Perhaps only a little one: a group of the planet’s most generous plutocrats snuck into the town of Middleburg last week for a meeting of participants in The Giving Pledge, the organization founded in 2010 by Bill and Melinda Gates and investor Warren Buffett for ultra-rich folks who promise to give away half of their wealth.

It was all very hush-hush. The Salamander resort, where the event took place, wouldn’t comment on its guests, and e-mails to the philanthropic organization went unreturned.

But the confab had the little hamlet abuzz. There were no mistaking the signs that something was afoot: the Salamander, including its swanky restaurant, was closed to the public. Security booths popped up at the resort’s entrances, and locals spotted a large white tent on the grounds.

And of course word always gets out. Among the attendees were Bill Gates, Buffett and media mogul Ted Turner, according to sources familiar with the event.
