Marina Abramovic and a PIZZAGATE art exhibition in Venice

Post by MercurysBall2 »

SUMMARY: There is a story which needs to be told in parts.. because it leads back to the international community of globalists that are cynically manufacturing much of the global chaos. There are many chapters to this story which must first be documented before the whole picture can be seen. This post/thread is one of those chapters..
Historic Bauer Palladio Hotel Offers Prime Access To Venice's Newest Contemporary Art District https://archive.is/HnSYS
ImageWarren Neidich's Rumor to Delusion, an exhibition on Guidecca Island
Giudecca Island, a ten minute ride across the grand canal by public vaporetto, has had a strong association with contemporary art for a while so it's no surprise that it has just officially launched itself as Venice's newest art district. The Venice Biennale Arte has used spaces on the island since the 1980s. And before that, in 1976, Giudecca was the site of various performances by Marina Abramović.

In 2012, a former artist's house, Tre Oci, became a public exhibition space. A photography exhibition by Palermo based artist Letizia Battaglia is currently on show until 18 August. In 2013, Zuecca Project Space, a not-for-profit arts space on Giudecca, founded by innovative young curator Alessandro Possati, hosted Ai Weiwei’s exhibition Disposition. This year, coinciding with the art biennale, Zuecca Project Space is hosting American artist Warren Neidich's solo exhibition Rumor to Delusion. The centerpiece of the show is an impressive neon display of words referencing the crazy "Pizzagate" fake news story of the 2016 Presidential campaign that accused Hillary Clinton and her staff of running a child sex slave ring out of the basement of the Comet Ping Pong pizza parlor in Washington D.C......

Nick Evans > Leon Restaurants

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leon_Restaurants
Leon was founded by John Vincent and Henry Dimbleby with chef Allegra McEvedy.[4][5][6][7] The business was named after Vincent's father, Leon,[8][5][9] and opened its first outlet in Carnaby Street in 2004.. In 2009, Leon became a founding member of the Sustainable Restaurant Association ..

In March 2020, Leon set up the "Feed NHS" initiative to deliver 5,600 free meals a day to NHS critical care staff at London hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic.[23] Other restaurant chains became involved, including Franco Manca, Tortilla, and Wasabi.[24] A JustGiving page was created to raise funds..

Leon has published several cookbooks, and developed a cookware and tableware line with retailer John Lewis..

Leon co-founder and CEO, John Vincent, has co-authored a book, Winning Not Fighting with Sifu Julian Hitch, published in November 2019. The book takes the principles of the ancient martial art of Wing Tsun and applies them to work, life and business.[28] According to Vincent, Wing Tsun shapes the way that Leon operates, and all new employees at Leon are put through Wing Tsun training..

One of the founders of Leon is Henry Dimbleby, a strong supporter of Vote Leave in the Brexit referendum, who spent the results evening with Michael Gove
John Vincent (restaurateur) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Vinc ... taurateur)
John Vincent MBE (born 28 September 1971) is a British entrepreneur who is the chief executive and co-founder of fast food chain Leon Restaurants. Vincent is also known for his work in developing the 2013 School Food Plan, for which he was appointed an MBE; for chairing the Council for Sustainable Business; and for co-authoring seven LEON cookbooks...

In 1993, following his graduation, Vincent went on to work at Procter & Gamble (P&G) in sales & marketing.[1] In 1997, after four years at P&G, he moved to management consultancy firm Bain & Co. where he remained for the next seven years.[1]

From 2004 until 2007, Vincent was part of a team of three that worked on the whisky and spirits business Whyte & Mackay during its rebranding and business transition under the ownership of Vivian Imerman..

It was while working at Bain & Co. that the idea for LEON was first developed
Henry Dimbleby https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Dimbleby
a British businessman and cookery writer who is a co-founder of Leon Restaurants and the Sustainable Restaurant Association. He was appointed lead non-executive board member of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in March 2018.[2] He is the son of veteran BBC broadcaster David Dimbleby and Josceline Dimbleby.

Dimbleby worked for management consultants Bain & Co for seven years from 1995 to 2002...Dimbleby is married to Jemima Lewis, a journalist
Allegra McEvedy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegra_McEvedy
She later worked at the Tabernacle in Notting Hill, Green's, The Belvedere in Holland Park, Alfred's, the Groucho Club and The River Café. She got her first Head Chef position at Tom Conran's restaurant The Cow, in Notting Hill, at the age of 24.

During a spell in the United States, facilitated by being awarded a special visa as 'an alien with extraordinary ability in the culinary arts', McEvedy worked at Rubicon and Jardinière in San Francisco, and ran the kitchen at Robert De Niro's New York City restaurant Tribeca Grill, regularly doing 500 covers a night. Whilst in New York she catered for an exclusive Democratic Party fundraiser, personally cooking for President Clinton. However, she became disillusioned with cooking "posh food for rich people",[4] and put into action a plan to specialise in affordable dining when she returned to the UK...

Upon returning to London, McEvedy joined The Good Cook group, initially as Head Chef of The Tabernacle, a community restaurant in Notting Hill, and later as Head Chef of The Good Cook in Kensington High Street. In summer 2000 she set up the first outdoor café in the Zaha Hadid Pavilion at the Serpentine Gallery. Between 2002 and 2004 she was the inaugural Chef in Residence at the Institute of Contemporary Arts. ..She was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2008 Birthday Honours for services to the hospitality industry.

11 Galleries Are Moving Into Venice’s First Official Art District—Opening Just in Time for the Biennale https://news.artnet.com/art-world/giude ... ce-1491247
A collective of female artists is inaugurating a new art quarter in Venice to coincide with the opening of the 58th Venice Biennale. Founded by Venetian art directors Pier Paolo Scelsi and Valentina Gioia Levy, the Guidecca Art District will be the city’s first permanent art quarter, and will comprise 11 new art galleries and exhibition spaces, including three national pavilions and a new contemporary art space called the Giudecca Art District Gallery and Garden.

As implied in the name, the district is being built on the former industrial island of Giudecca, a historic site that played host to Marina Abramović’s first performance in 1976, Ai Weiwei’s 2013 biennale exhibition, “Disposition,” and Damien Hirst’s 2017 Giudecca Canal exhibition.

..Giudecca island has transformed in recent years from a former industrial area, home to the Dreher brewery, to a buzzing arts district, complete with artist studios, edgy hotels, art-inspired restaurants, and is even home to a few celebrities, including Elton John and Miuccia Prada.

..The new spaces will add to the existing art scene on the island, alongside the existing Galleria Michela Rizzo, which was the first gallery to open on the island in 2004. Elsewhere, the Zuecca Project Space in a former convent of the Le Zitelle church, now linked to the Bauer Palladio Hotel, hosts exhibitions that center around the idea of displacement, a major part of the Venetian identity. The venue collaborated with London’s Lisson Gallery in 2013 to host Ai Weiwei’s show “Disposition.” The cloister of another former convent of Cosma and Damiano has studio spaces reserved for young artists as part of the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa’s Atelier program.
Bauer Hotel (Venice) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bauer_Hotel_(Venice)
The Bauer Hotel is a five-star hotel located on the Grand Canal in the San Marco sestiere of Venice, Italy, near the Piazza San Marco. It originally opened in 1880 as the Grand Hotel d'Italie Bauer-Grünwald and moved to its current location in 1902...The Bauer group also owns several other hotels in Venice: the Bauer Casa Nova, adjacent to the hotel on the Campo San Moisè;[2] and the Bauer Palladio and Villa F, on the Giudecca facing San Marco across the Giudecca Canal... In 1999, Francesca Bortolotto Possati, granddaughter of Arnaldo Bennati, became the Chairwoman and CEO of the hotel...

Elliott Management and Blue Skye investments acquired the hotel through a series of debt restructuring deals between 2017 and 2019. In 2020, the Austrian real estate investment group SIGNA group bought the hotel, adding it to its portfolio which includes the Park Hyatt Vienna, The Chalet N in Lech am Arlberg, and the Villa Eden resort at Lake Garda in Italy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belmond_Hotel_Cipriani https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belmond_Hotel_Cipriani
The Belmond Hotel Cipriani is a deluxe hotel on the island of Giudecca in Venice, northern Italy. It is reached by hotel launch from St Mark's Square, a five-minute journey across the lagoon.. The hotel was opened in 1958 by Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of Harry’s Bar in Venice and inventor of the Bellini cocktail. As well as Giuseppe Cipriani, the partners in the joint company were the three daughters of the 2nd Earl of Iveagh, who provided the financing. The three sisters—Viscountess Boyd of Merton, Lady Honor Svedar and Lady Brigid Guinness—each had a suite designed for themselves and their families.

The hotel achieved instant acclaim. In 1962, the Earl asked Giuseppe Cipriani to rebuild and manage the Hotel Belvedere on his property in Asolo; this was reopened as the Hotel Villa Cipriani..

In 1976, the Hotel Cipriani was purchased for £900,000[4] by Sea Containers, which established a leisure division named Orient-Express Hotels Ltd.[5] The hotel subsequently expanded into the adjacent Palazzo Vendramin, a 15th-century palace facing the lagoon[6] and St Mark's Square. A restaurant, Cip's Club,[7] was built on a floating pontoon in the lagoon. In 1990, the adjacent Granaries of the Republic were opened as an event space...

In 2014, the Hotel Cipriani was renamed the Belmond Hotel Cipriani as part of the rebranding of Orient-Express Hotels as Belmond.[9][10] In April 2014, the hotel opened Oro restaurant, designed by Adam Tihany, which in December 2015 was awarded a Michelin star.[11] George Clooney got married at the hotel.
Sea Containers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_Containers
Sea Containers was a Bermudan registered company which operated two main business areas: transport and container leasing. It filed for bankruptcy on 16 October 2006. In 2009 its maritime container interests were transferred to a new company SeaCo Ltd...

Yale University graduate and retired United States Navy officer James Sherwood founded Sea Containers in 1965, with initial capital of $100,000... Over 40 years, Sherwood expanded Sea Containers from a supplier of leased cargo containers, into various shipping companies, as well as expanding the company into luxury hotels and railway trains, including the Venice-Simplon Orient Express and the Great North Eastern Railway train operating company...

In March 2006, Sherwood resigned from all positions in the various Sea Containers Companies. Sherwood was replaced by turnaround specialist Bob Mackenzie, while Ian Durant became senior vice-president of finance.

Ferry services :

Orient-Express Hotels: (25% shareholding) sold in 2005[3]
SeaStreak: following the Sea Containers bankruptcy of 2006, this operation was sold to New England Fast Ferry[8]
SNAV-Hoverspeed: a joint venture with Italian ferry operator SNAV. Used the former Seacat Danmark as Zara Jet.
Aegean Speed Lines: a joint venture in Greece with the Eugenides Group. The service uses the former Hoverspeed Great Britain as Speedrunner 1, which operated in the English Channel and held the Hales Trophy and Blue Riband for the fastest crossing of the North Atlantic.
Hoverspeed English Channel services ceased in 2005[3]

Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of Harry’s Bar in Venice

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry%27s_Bar_(Venice)
Harry's Bar has long been frequented by famous people, and it was a favourite of Ernest Hemingway.[1] Other notable customers have included Italian conductor Arturo Toscanini, inventor Guglielmo Marconi, Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, Jimmy Stewart, Richard Halliburton, Truman Capote, Orson Welles, Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Princess Aspasia of Greece, Aristotle Onassis, Barbara Hutton, Peggy Guggenheim, Tareq Salahi, George Clooney, the Mundys, Woody Allen, Joelle Verasammy and Alex Mackwood ... The bar was also briefly mentioned in the second and subsequent editions of Evelyn Waugh's novel Brideshead Revisited (in the first edition Waugh simply called the bar "the English bar") as a frequent haunt of principal characters Charles Ryder and Sebastian Flyte during their time in Venice.

Harry's Bar is today "the anchor to a global brand, positioned around the Cipriani name."[3] In New York City, the Ciprianis run the restaurants Harry Cipriani, Cipriani 42nd Street, and DownTown, a travel company, and a catering company.[3] Buenos Aires is home to three more outlets.[3] In Venice, the Ciprianis also own Harry's Dolci.[3] The Cipriani brand also includes lines of pastas, sauces, olive oils, coffee, books, and kitchenware.[3]

In 2007 the Ciprianis pleaded guilty to tax evasion in the United States.[4] In 2012, with debts of over €6m, the bar was sold to Luxembourg-based investment group Blue Skye

Another director at Harry's Bar London is Luciano Pordu

The Academic Tables - Michele Lombardi & Luciano Porcu https://www.unisg.it/eventi/le-tavole-a ... ano-porcu/
When we talk about Harry's Bar in London, we are talking about an institution: it is an integral part of Italian culture. Michele Lombardi, in London as at UNISG, proposes the recipes that made Harry's Bar in Venice great, but with a more international touch.

One of Pordu's relatives worked at Scott's Restaurant in Mayfair and then at Sloane Square Hotel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sloane_Square_Hotel
In 2005 the hotel was bought by the hotelier John Tham, former managing director of the Cliveden hotel, and renamed the Sloane Square hotel. It was completely renovated in 2006..

In early 1960, the hotel was temporary home to Peter Llewelyn Davies, a leading figure in London's publishing industry and the inspiration for J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan, while en route to Gibraltar.[5] On 5 April 1960, Davies left the bar of the hotel and threw himself under a train at the nearby underground station, making "front-page news around the world"..

During the 1960s, the hotel was part of the Swinging London phenomenon, which encompassed fashion, music, art and other forms of popular culture. Early in February 1962, The Beatles stayed in the hotel for several weeks, and in the following year they used the building as a venue for a photographic session on 10 February 1963. The hotel also played host to the first meeting between Paul McCartney and his future girlfriend Jane Asher, when McCartney was interviewed by the Radio Times on 18 April 1963
