I have a huge problem with this sort of shit being on this site. To me, this crap is NOT free speech, it is degeneracy and represents everything wrong with this world today. IMHO it has NO PLACE here.

Pedo crap is NOT free speech and anyone who thinks so is either a degenerate pervert or trying to undermine the site.

I would like an officials vote to be taken of the user base to settle this issues.

Here’s the thing about “free speech.” The definition enshrined in the Constitution has fuck all to do with the ✡libertarian✡ conception of libertinism. Saying any goddamn thing you wanted in any healthy society in history has always been forbidden. Pornography itself was an imprisonable offense for far, far longer than the Founders were alive. But there’s a more pressing point here.

What is this site supposed to be.

Ideologically, what are we? For what do we stand? On what do we agree? What do we tolerate? If the answers are nothing, everything, nothing, and anything (respectively), then we don’t exist at all. We might as well shut the damn thing down and forget that Voat ever existed. Fat lot of good it did, anyway. But what if we stand for something? What if the thing for which we stand can be quantified? What if, in studying it, anyone will come to the same conclusion, thereby showing the thing for which we stand is objectively right? What if we say that we refuse to tolerate things which conflict with the thing for which we stand?

Can we even manage that?

Agree with all you said. Just because it's "legal" doesn't mean it's moral, ethical or lawful. Most people don't know the difference between legal and lawful but that's another story.
