What would your ideal country be like?

Let's imagine you have a territory, with enough arms, tech, resources, population, etc. to stay afloat. You can found your own independent nation-state, micronation, country, state, kingdom, empire, khanate, emirate, sultanate, district, etc. etc. etc. It can be ANYTHING you want.

What would it be like?

I would happily have the north of england as long as i could decide who lived in it. Got mountains rivers lakes accessto the coast. Very seasonal which is the pattern that suits europeans. Can support wolves linx bears etc but dont get much in the way of poisonous snakes or spiders. Pathogens low to seasons and generally lower temperatures. Snow in winter and sun in summer. Share it with self sufficient people who look after their own but happy to help their neigbours. Keep population as low as possible

as one who has lived at that latitude for the last 34 yrs, it was okay in my younger days. now, the winters are too long, summer seems to last from june-august only.
i miss having a campfire on a dark night as we get 22-23 hours of sunlight when it is actually warm enough to enjoy a fire.
the rest of you reasons are on point, but still you would need to vette the migrants.

That does sound good but for me the contrast and cyclical changes make me value the nights I can sit out round my fire and the nights i sit in and look at the snow.
