Steve Buscemi's character in Big Fish who loves the town of Spectre so much he never wants to leave parallels a Goat's love of Voat.

It's so bad...I've got like ten tabs, each with dozens of sub tabs open in two operating systems -- all involving research I wasn't done with or didn't want to have to dig for again. Most are Voat tabs. Now I nostalgically don't want to close or refresh any of them. So pathetic! LMAO.

Re: For future Voat historians
The plug was pulled while I was engaged with family and Christmas dinner. When I got back on the internet the next day I found I still had a Voat tab open and it indicated I had 2 unread messages. I am kind of curious what they were. Oh well.Vindicator wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 12:42 am It's so bad...I've got like ten tabs, each with dozens of sub tabs open in two operating systems -- all involving research I wasn't done with or didn't want to have to dig for again. Yeah...I had 16. Same problem. Spent the days leading up to Christmas madly trying to notify pizzagate researchers their research would not be lost and where we were going to be. NOT what I wanted to be doing the holiest days of the winter.Thisismyvoatusername wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 1:32 amThe plug was pulled while I was engaged with family and Christmas dinner. I'll link to some of the more relevant /v/OneTruePutt threads for reference:Vindicator wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 6:04 pm No one has really done a thorough job of telling the story of Voat, that I've seen. The knowledge is scattered among the viewpoints of many users who all joined at different stages. I'm starting this thread, here, so that people can contribute their thoughts -- and more importantly, their links -- for those interested in this topic or who may want to write something up in at some point.
To get us started, here is an interesting final thread by @redpilldessert who spent his last hours on Voat archiving important threads "for future Voat historians": https://searchvoat.co/v/whatever/4174408

Re: For future Voat historians
I don't have any open for research, but I confess that I have tabs for Voat open on both laptops.. I can't bear to close them out and let them go forever.Vindicator wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 12:42 am It's so bad...I've got like ten tabs, each with dozens of sub tabs open in two operating systems -- all involving research I wasn't done with or didn't want to have to dig for again.
