Ban (and delete all posts of) Impersonation Accounts (ProtectVoat)

Many new accounts have been created which exist solely to impersonate existing accounts on Voat. This is done to libel said accounts, to damage their appearance in the minds of other users, and to purposely cause confusion between the statements of the real and fake accounts. This sows dissent and distrust within the userbase. Purposely.

Fake Account Name (Real Account Name)

There are probably more. These are just the ones I’ve managed to NOTICE. Their purpose is to not BE noticed, just to slide in undetected and be the opposite of what the real account is, making it impossible for anyone to know what anyone else really believes. And then, of course, these subhuman faggots:

This is already a Voat rule. You have never been able to create an account that looks like the username of another account. It just needs to be enforced. We need the website owner to pretend like he gives one flying fuck about any of us, come back for one day, and do it. Then he can fuck back off to his private shtel (or whatever he got out of the deal that sold us out to his ✡angel✡) without a care in the world.

Aside: We also have someone who may be using concurrent accounts, which is either vote/content manipulation (against the rules), merely using them concurrently (against the rules) or could simply be another case of impersonation (against the rules).

And another one with proven concurrent accounts (and he has more than this, but I forget what they are), but this one only ever posts the same seven words of spam.

Impersonation accounts have never been against the tos and we do not have an active admin around to implement new rules.

It was such a widespread problem long ago that they changed the site code to (theoretically) automatically prevent it. But it only prevents FONT impersonation (things like “upper case i / lower case L” substitutions), with the others needing to be manually removed. Cynabuns spoke of Putt’s approval and has handled these things in the past.

It’s just that we don’t have ANYONE left here anymore.
