Basically they had us fill out an "anonymous" form about any diversity issues on campus. Since they had an option to write in your gender I wrote in Attack Helicopter. I just got done with being reprimanded for writing the "wrong" answers on a supposedly "anonymous" form.

I'll respond to any questions that don't harm my privacy. And don't worry if I'm not answering questions for a bit, I still have class today and I'll get to it after class.

EDIT: What I think they did to find out who turned in that form:

When we turned it in, it was passed to the person in front of us, then the person in front passed it over to the left. Since it was a smaller class I'm assuming they easily figured out what order they were passed in, and then figured out who sat in what seat based on that order. This is just a theory though.

My other theory is a bit more conspiracy ridden: Basically they have these policy keys that we must have on our computer at all times to access the internet. This is also tied to our student #'s. I believe that they are logging what websites we go to and what we do online, and if this is true, it wouldn't be too hard for an AntiFa desk worker to put Voat/8chan/VPN user to Attack Helicopter Paper.

However if that second theory isn't true then I still believe that they are keylogging everything we type in.

You got punished/harassed for putting a non-binary gender identity. I actually have lots of complaints on this, so here's how I would react.

Talk to the ombudsman on campus (the guy that's basically a student advocate university attorney), and explain what happened. They might not be on your side at first, but it's worth a shot and it should be something they can at least advise you on.

Your reason for putting a joke on the form could have been a test to see if you were willing to come out to your university (a known joke answer to test to see if your true gender would receive backlash). And it also could have been a test for anonymity on the form (to see if you personally would be attacked, which you were). Use these to your advantage, because with that it looks like an attempt to discriminate against students by punishing those that answer "incorrectly". Understand you never have to reveal your true answer to the question, if pressured for it response that all trust has been lost in the university's ability to respect your gender and you will not expose yourself to more harassment.

In the US go for a title 9 violation because gender identity is not physical sex and you could suggest that as a male non-binary you were harassed, but female non-binary people were not. Creating a hostile environment that hinders your ability to learn and feel safe.

Also if this was a research study, your interaction calls into question the entire methodology. And as such the study should be stopped and likely thrown out.

The massive online experience, huge variety of weapons and vehicles, and scenario capabilities is great, as well as the devs openness to the modding community is what makes it popular to most. The glitches and clunky controls just kind of became endeared to the franchise after a bit, but you definitely get use to it after a little bit of play.

For me, I have a set of buddies I play with, which makes it fun. We are all ex military, so we play as a proper fireteam and experiment with different tactics. It is definitely a game to play with friends to keep it fun and don't take it seriously. The controls are also pretty difficult and clunky, but getting good with them is kind of a feeling of accomplishment in and of itself, especially if you can get decent at flying.

All in all, it is a highly social game for me, which is why I like it, with a lot of teamwork needed to do well, but you can also just mess around and have fun with little care, and the mods are super cutthroat, such as the DayZ and Epoch mods.

No longer am I allowed to shit post on those surveys, tell people how I actually feel, etc. For me I don't really care about any counter attacks to me or my ability to study, since I've already been accepted to about a dozen other engineering schools around the country. Also they can't threaten me with lose of scholarship money, since they can't take away post 9-11 GI bill benefits or other military benefits (thats all handled by the VA, not the school office).

What worries me is the fact that other students won't speak up because of this, since many of them do have something to lose when it comes to scholarships and other funding. Honestly I think they were hoping for this to happen so that students would be scared to report anything since they might be tied to it.
