Error 526 indicates Cloudflare is unable to successfully validate the SSL certificate on the origin web server and the SSL setting in the Cloudflare SSL/TLS app is set to Full SSL (Strict) for the website. When this happens, you’ll see “Error 526: Invalid SSL certificate”.

  That was not what @shewhomustbeobeyed asked for.

When @system left his CIA outpost earlier, he left his top secret key in the door. One of his JIDF buddies left work later than he did. This employee decided that the key was compromised. He proceeded to change the key without notifying other personnel. Other CIA personnel came to work in the next morning and discovered their keys no longer worked as expected. This is why every employee will see the Invalid Key error, even for those innocent visitors who are just visiting the honeypot

Seriously, is a SSL certificate something you pay for? What is its function?

You can get it for free, but it needs periodic renewal. Its function is to allow private communication between the employee or the visitor and the CIA outpost where the server is currently hosted
