My late mother used to refer to it as "producing" when referring to non-Whites. I grew up on a farm and we had Coloured and bantu labourers. The Coloureds lived there with their families and the blacks were men only in a dorm set up.
My dad had to deliver all the Coloured babies because we were nowhere near a hospital. When one was due to drop, my mom would say to my dad "it's probably going to produce in the middle of the bloody night" or "has it produced yet?"
