There's no faggot mods to move your threads around, there's a nice unobtrusive chat on the side, you can post anonymously if you choose. I love the chaotic wild west nature of it. I made an account there, it's a bit clumsy. Saidit is more user friendly, but I like it here best.

Wow nice the site looks gorgeous in night mode. Why oh why did we all not just go over there?

I think most of us don´t care about who wins, Poal, NoteaBub or Saidit or Ramble.pw I just wish everybody agreed in one standard which I know it is not possible. I registered with one of them but for me it is going to be a matter of waiting and seeing who has the bigger community in the threads I normally visit, so far I think they all have about the same level of activity in what I normally read. It could be different for others.

Decentralizing isn't a bad idea either. I try to like it here just as others have mentioned it's a little more effort..

Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater! @SearchVoat stepped up to the plate to create this haven while the rest of us were standing around with out thumbs up our butts wondering what was going to happen to VOAT! Sure there are other options out there that are more polished, but THIS is where the rebirth of VOAT begins. We now stand at the crossroads! We can piss all over the work that @SearchVoat put into this place and scatter ourselves to the winds, in which case we irrevocably lose VOAT forever, OR we can see this through, working through the growing pains, until we reclaim what was taken from us. We should be going out into the "wild" dropping breadcrumbs leading GOATS back here, not abandoning VOAT when she's down!

I agree with Snarky. I've not gone back to notabug, saidit, etc. I'm hanging out here and the goatpen.

I think we, as individuals, collectively answer two basic questions:

1.) What made VOAT VOAT? What was it about that damn webpage that kept us coming back to it like flies attracted to shit?

2.) How do we get that/those "IT FACTOR(S)" back to this site, and how does @SearchVoat incorporate it as this effort scales up and morphs into the new iteration of VOAT?

Maybe there's a poll that I missed that already exists that asks these questions, but if there isn't, maybe @SearchVoat and a group of us can take these question and add more if needed, and see what's on everybody's mind. It would be nice if SV users could be directed to the survey upon their next login. Hopefully they would offer their thoughts...

I like this, you can already create a Poll in any topic, maybe we need a subverse/subforum specifically for feedback polls?
