BEE stands for Black Economic Empowerment

I like to tell people of how it was during Apartheid. I say that when it was tender time, the government would look at which races the company employees are, and then give the company points, with whites giving most points and blacks giving the least.

After the people all chime in saying that's horrible, I correct myself and say that there was no such thing during Apartheid, and that the system I describe is what they currently have, but with the majority population being worth the most and the minorities being worth the least.

There's usually a sheepish silence before I continue with other amusing anecdotes of how South Africa was turned into a communist "democracy".
