Why do upvote arrows disappear?

Is it that after a certain period of time they disappear? Not knowing is driving me crazy.

They do? Is it because they don't show when you have voted, or on your own posts?

It looks like posts to Niggers and Corruption Watch don't have vote arrows.

Thanks for the heads up. New subverses had voting disabled by default. Fixed now.
