Speaker Bio

Steve Anderson, Ph.D., M.P.P., is currently the Director of the Office of Biostatistics and Epidemiology (OBE) at the FDA Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER). He provides leadership for all CBER statistical, epidemiological and benefit-risk assessment programs and has led numerous important benefit-risk assessment and epidemiological studies of vaccines, tissues, and blood products using the FDA Sentinel and CMS data. Most recently Dr. Anderson’s office established the Biologics Effectiveness and Safety (BEST) system, CBER’s new postmarket risk identification and analysis system that engages new data sources, tools and experts to further enhance biologic product effectiveness and safety surveillance. Dr. Anderson earned a Master’s Degree in Public Policy (MPP) at Georgetown University and while there developed the first quantitative risk assessment for antimicrobial resistant pathogens in livestock. Dr. Anderson received his PhD from the University of Cincinnati where he worked on biochemistry, drug resistance and ion pumps, pathogenicity and genomics of unique tropical disease pathogens. He has published a number of articles in biologic product safety, risk assessment, epidemiology, infectious diseases, biologics safety, and genomics.

Johnson & Johnson said Wednesday that it is recalling five of its sunscreen products after some samples were found to contain low levels of benzene, a chemical that can cause cancer with repeated exposure.

The affected products, packaged in aerosol cans, are Aveeno Protect + Refresh aerosol sunscreen, and four Neutrogena sunscreen versions: Beach Defense aerosol sunscreen, CoolDry Sport aerosol sunscreen, Invisible Daily Defense aerosol sunscreen and UltraSheer aerosol sunscreen.

The recall includes all can sizes and all levels of sun protection factor, or SPF. The products were distributed nationwide through retailers.

I've been making an effort to not pay any attention to the MSM, any of it. So I have not been keeping up with all the jabber news of late. I thought I knew enough about it, and I have zero intentions of getting jabbed. I was very surprised to learn that the jab is actually a biologic. That merely cements my intention to remain unjabbed. I already have 2 auto-immune diseases, and tried some biologics which did not work at all. Oh, and I don't want to run the risk of coming down with another one of those uncurable things.

The combination of CVST and thrombocytopenia had been identified in six cases following the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) COVID-19 vaccine at the time the article was submitted. Similar presentations of CVST and thrombocytopenia have been reported in Europe following the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. Both of these vaccines are adenoviral vectors.

Symptoms related to CVST and thrombocytopenia have occurred between 6-13 days after receipt of the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. They have been reported between 5-24 days after the first dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in Europe.

I'll be devil's advocate, I don't think the FDA has ever actually approved the vaccine. Until people are required to take it by law (or rather required by something above defacto law) I think they could semi reasonably wash their hands of it. You decided to cave to peer pressure and get an expiremental shot for a disease that could have been cured by jogging and got hurt from it? Well gee, that sucks. The CDC might face a law suit though, and all the media executives will go free. Assuming I'm right I'm not too unhappy with the FDA though.

True, the vaxx was approved for EUA status only, (it's not approved as they would a fully tested drug). The safety data is still in the process of being collected and results won't be out for a couple years. The PR campaign to encourage people to take the vaxx is as follows: 'The vaxx is safe. Anything bad that happens is unlikely to be caused by the vaxx. Even if it people do experience serious side effects, it's still nothing too worry to much about, and regardless, it's still better than getting Covid19.'

When that PR approach didn't work for all, they start name calling, social shaming, and discussed the use of threats to take people's 'freedom privileges' away.
