I remember this being a pretty standard thing for bb forums, since you don't really need to quote a post if your message directly follows it.

Though, I guess this would prolly just boil down to a mention.

Yea, no comment threading or chains, hard to tell who's snarking whom.
I guess a Reply under each comment, separate from op.

You mean comment threading? I don't get your reference to "mention".

A mention as in an @SearchVoat

And I mean just a way to reply to a post without having to include the entire quote of the post being replied to.

Easiest way would prolly be just to have it automatically add "Reply to @ORIGINAL_POSTER" to the start of a reply or something similar.

Side note: Punctuation breaks mentions.
