Politicians in the UK are putting the police in the middle by enforcing unpopular /idiotic policies . Here in the States, the politicians either hamstring the police and make them stand down when rioting gets out of hand or brand them racist when they do their job in a "minority" neighborhood. End result is no respect for law and order.

It is hard to know what is actual protest and what is staged to discredit demonstrations. You could see the press mikes right in the middle and some potential hand gestures indicatingbad actors.
