According to reports, the Obamas may have purchased a home in Rancho Mirage. ..Rancho Mirage comes with presidential precedent. It was the post-White House home of Gerald Ford, as well. And, according to the New York Post, the rumored Obama property won’t be too far from the famed Annenberg estate known as Sunnylands that has served as an occasional California getaway for President Obama and seven of his predecessors.

The two-story, 30,000-square-foot Wallis Annenberg PetSpace is slated to open next summer in Playa Vista. The high-tech Silicon Beach complex will be much more than just an adoption center, with spaces for educational classes and training workshops as well as a full-fledged research facility. Between 25 and 30 full-time employees will care for the resident animals, with room for volunteers as well.

On the research side, the on-site Leadership Institute, a human-animal studies center, will pull in experts from the University of Oxford, University of Nottingham and Loyola Marymount University’s Center for Urban Resilience. PetSpace will also be partnering with the California Science Center for a traveling exhibition about the science of dogs, due to open in 2018.

Wallis Annenberg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallis_Annenberg
Wallis Annenberg was born in 1939 in Philadelphia,[2] into a Jewish family, the daughter of publishing magnate Walter Hubert Annenberg, and his first wife, Bernice Veronica Dunkelman (known as Ronny), a socialite from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. ..

Annenberg serves on the Board of Directors for the New York-based chapter of the foundation of Princess Charlene of Monaco.[18]

Her children Lauren Bon, Gregory Weingarten and Charles Weingarten serve on the board of directors of the Annenberg Foundation. Her son Roger Weingarten, a resident of Devereux[19] in Santa Barbara, California who was diagnosed schizophrenic at age 15 like his namesake,[20][21] is not on the board.[21][22][23] Despite her father leaving the majority of his multibillion-dollar fortune to the Annenberg Foundation, it is estimated that Annenberg has a personal fortune in excess of five hundred million dollars.
Walter Annenberg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Annenberg
Annenberg owned and operated Triangle Publications, which included ownership of The Philadelphia Inquirer, TV Guide, the Daily Racing Form, A+ Magazine, Essence, Star & Sky Magazine, Elementary Electronics, Playboy, The Saturday Evening Post, The Atlantic Monthly, and Seventeen magazine. He was appointed by President Richard Nixon as United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom, where he served from 1969 to 1974.

During his tenure as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, he developed a close friendship with Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the royal family. After initial perceived missteps, he came to be admired for his dedicated work ethic, his wife's lavish entertaining, and personal gifts to support patriotic British causes, such as the restoration of St. Paul's Cathedral in London. He also paid for the renovation of Winfield House, the American ambassador's residence.

St Paul's School, London https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Paul%2 ... ol,_London
St Paul's School is a selective independent school for boys aged 13–18, founded in 1509 by John Colet and located on a 43-acre (180,000m2) site by the River Thames, in Barnes, London... St Paul's School takes its name from St Paul's Cathedral in London. A cathedral school had existed since around 1103. By the 16th century however, it had declined, and in 1509, a new school was founded by John Colet, Dean of St Paul's Cathedral, on a plot of land to the north of the Cathedral.

Colet was an outspoken critic of the powerful and worldly Church of his day, a friend of Erasmus and Sir Thomas More. Erasmus wrote textbooks for the school and St Paul's was the first English school to teach Greek, reflecting the humanist interests of the founder. Colet distrusted the Church as a managing body for his school, declaring that he "found the least corruption" in married laymen.[4] For this reason, Colet assigned the management of the School and its revenues to the Mercers' Company, the premier livery company in the City of London, with which his father had been associated. In 1876 the company was legally established as trustee of the Colet estate, and the management of the school was assigned to a Board of Governors consisting of the Master, Wardens and nine members of the company, together with three representatives from each of the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and London. The Mercers' Company still forms the major part of the School's governing body, and it continues to administer Colet's trust

Controversies
  • Sexual misconduct 1948–1988 : In May 2017, the school issued a report, led by former Massachusetts attorney general Scott Harshbarger, detailing sexual misconduct by thirteen former faculty and staff members which occurred between 1948 and 1988. The report did not focus on any allegations that occurred after 1988, but more victims may come forward.[68].. The sexual misconduct, documented in the report, covered assaults, harassments, and rape. One student who contacted the Boston Globe, but not the people conducting the report said, "It's not a complete accounting. It's nowhere close."
  • "Senior Salute" rape allegations and trial : The "Senior Salute", a supposed[71] ceremony in which seniors would proposition younger classmates for sexual encounters before graduation, was in the news in 2015, when a former student was charged with the rape of a 15-year old freshman, Chessy Prout. A St. Paul's student, Owen Labrie, was charged with several counts of felony sex assault, misdemeanor sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and using a computer to solicit or lure a child under the age of 16.
  • Criminal investigation by attorney general : In July 2017, the New Hampshire Attorney General, with assistance from Concord police and the New Hampshire State Police, started a criminal investigation into the school to determine whether administrators engaged in conduct that endangered the welfare of students. St. Paul's administrators can not be given jail time, so the investigation may force the school to adopt changes, such as a hotline for the reporting of suspected misconduct and new training for school staff and teachers.

Dr. George Cheyne Shattuck, Jr. was born in Boston on July 22, 1813, and attended Round Hill School, Harvard College, and Harvard Medical School. In 1840 he began the practice of medicine in Boston and later became a professor and dean of Harvard Medical School. The impressions he formed while at Round Hill School inspired him and were influential in his decision to found St. Paul’s School in 1855.
Round Hill School https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Round_Hill_School
The Round Hill School for Boys in Northampton, Massachusetts, founded by George Bancroft and Joseph Cogswell in 1823, though it failed as a viable venture — it closed in 1834 — was an early effort to elevate secondary education in the United States for the sons of the New England elite.

On his return from the University of Göttingen, wishing to shed upon others some of the inspiration he had received, George Bancroft applied for leave to read lectures on history at Harvard University. His request was denied. After this disappointment, in an attempt to introduce some parts of the German system of education to the United States, and in conjunction with Joseph Cogswell, Bancroft founded the Round Hill School. He left the school after a few years, leaving Cogswell in sole possession.

During the first eight years of its history, it enrolled 293 pupils, drawn from 19 states and four foreign countries. The conductors of Round Hill put into practice ideas they had gathered in Germany, England,[1] and Switzerland. In Switzerland, Cogswell had studied the schools of the two educators, Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi at Yverdon, and Philipp Emanuel von Fellenberg at the estate of Hofwyl near Bern. ..

Walter Veith says there is a clash coming between christian fundamentalism and malta.

From Crete to Malta - Part 3

A Battle for the Mind.. he says in Part 2 that the Jesuit Order created all the school systems which eventually became the educational systems of the entire world... Jesuits introduced learning against learning where the 2 mindsets could clash..
On the one hand there was the Protestant mindset which said that the Bible is the standard of all righteousness and should be the basis of all schooling and on the other hand, there was Gnosticism - Man is the center of everything and Man must be exalted to the level of deity.

The greatest strategy that the Jesuits used to win the Mind over was Jesuit Theater...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesuit_drama
Jesuit drama was a form of theatre practised in the colleges of the Society of Jesus between the 16th and 18th centuries, as a way of instructing students in rhetoric, assimilating Christian values and imparting Catholic doctrine...In the late 16th and early 17th centuries, Jesuit colleges spread across Europe, and almost all of these presented at least one play each year. The first recorded performance was in 1551, at the College Mamertino at Messina, in Sicily, but by the mid-17th centuries, several hundred plays were being performed annually. The 'Ratio studiorum' of 1599 made it mandatory for Jesuit schools to exercise their students in rhetorical self-expression through dramas, debates, and other declamation of poetry.

..As Jesuit drama became more extravagant, so these productions were increasingly criticised. These criticisms focused on the cost of the plays and their exaggerated place in the curriculum of certain Jesuit colleges. These criticisms added to the already growing anti-Jesuit sentiment in the 18th century, which resulted in the banning of Jesuit drama in many areas. Performances ceased in 1773, with the suppression of the Society of Jesus, but were revived, after the restoration of the Society in 1814.

Jesuit dramas, as well as instructing students in correct language use and oratory skills, served as a means of instruction in Roman Catholic doctrine and values, for both the students and the audience. The plays were therefore based on accounts from the Bible, or saintly legends [also pagan mythology, ancient history an contemporary events, all reinterpreted in the Catholic doctrine]. Most pieces of Jesuit drama contained music of some form. These musical elements were particularly elaborate in Austria and southern Germany, as well as in France where ballet was often included in Jesuit productions.
https://web.archive.org/web/20150318201 ... rg/theater
For almost five hundred years, theater has played a vital role in the curricula of Jesuit schools. Today—in Dallas—Jesuit Theater builds on that tradition by offering a broad range of opportunities for students.

Veith claims that the Jesuits were the originators of broadcasting...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_lantern
The magic lantern, also known by its Latin name laterna magica, is an early type of image projector that used pictures—paintings, prints, or photographs—on transparent plates (usually made of glass), one or more lenses, and a light source. It was mostly developed in the 17th century and commonly used for entertainment purposes. It was increasingly used for education during the 19th century. Since the late 19th century, smaller versions were also mass-produced as toys. The magic lantern was in wide use from the 18th century until the mid-20th century when it was superseded by a compact version that could hold many 35 mm photographic slides: the slide projector...

There are many gaps and uncertainties in the magic lantern's recorded history. A separate early magic lantern tradition seems to have been developed in southern Germany and includes lanterns with horizontal cylindrical bodies, while Walgensten's lantern and probably Huygens' both had vertical bodies. ..

Before 1671, only a small circle of people seemed to have knowledge of the magic lantern, and almost every known report of the device from this period had to do with people that were more or less directly connected to Christiaan Huygens...

The magic lantern can be seen as a further development of camera obscura. ..he oldest known clear description of a box-type camera is in German Jesuit scientist Gaspar Schott's 1657 book Magia universalis naturæ et artis.

The 1645 first edition of German Jesuit scholar Athanasius Kircher's book Ars Magna Lucis et Umbrae included a description of his invention, the "Steganographic Mirror": a primitive projection system with a focusing lens and text or pictures painted on a concave mirror reflecting sunlight, mostly intended for long-distance communication...

In 1654, Belgian Jesuit mathematician André Tacquet used Kircher's technique to show the journey from China to Belgium of Italian Jesuit missionary Martino Martini.[12] Some reports say that Martini lectured throughout Europe with a magic lantern, which he might have imported from China, but there's no evidence that it used anything other than Kircher's technique. However, Tacquet was a correspondent and friend of Christiaan Huygens[13] and may thus have been a very early adapter of the magic lantern technique that Huygens developed around this period.

Prominent Dutch scientist Christiaan Huygens, is nowadays widely accepted as the true inventor of the magic lantern. He knew Athanasius Kircher's 1645 edition of Ars Magna Lucis et Umbrae[14] which described a primitive projection system with a focusing lens and text or pictures painted on a concave mirror reflecting sunlight.
Athanasius also invented the megaphone http://design-real.com/megaphone/#megaphone-history
Athanasius Kircher is the author of "Phonurgia Nova", a book written in 1673 wich title means " a new method of sound production". The book is subdivided in two books: Phonosophia Nova and Phonosophia Anacamptica, in the second one, Kircher analysed the phenomenom of echo, wich he considered as founded on sound waves, wich, after having hit some "objecta phonocamptica", or "obstacles", they propagated in the air or in the water and therefore producing reverberation. In this book he deals with sound wich propagates in tubes of various shapes and typologies, of sound strengthened in natural caes reemerging at the surface with increased force, about how to listen to other people's conservations while remaining in a concealed room, with the aid of tubes and hidden devices, and how to exchange coded messages by the use of special trumpets.
He was also one of the first to put forward a 'germ theory' in response to the plague https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Athanasiu ... r#Medicine
Kircher took a notably modern approach to the study of diseases, as early as 1646 using a microscope to investigate the blood of plague victims. In his Scrutinium Pestis of 1658, he noted the presence of "little worms" or "animalcules" in the blood and concluded that the disease was caused by microorganisms. The conclusion was correct, although it is likely that what he saw were in fact red or white blood cells and not the plague agent, Yersinia pestis. He also proposed hygienic measures to prevent the spread of disease, such as isolation, quarantine, burning clothes worn by the infected and wearing facemasks to prevent the inhalation of germs.
This article from Fairfield University ..*cough* http://www.faculty.fairfield.edu/jmac/s ... ircher.htm
....For three centuries a science museum founded by Kircher, (perhaps one of the first of its kind in the world) has survived in Rome. Recently the scientific items of this museum have been divided up and spread throughout three Roman museums. So broad ( and so well-known ) were his interests that he was the recipient of many scientific curiosities.

One such curiosity is occasionally on display at the Yale Beinecke Rare Book Library. It is the Voynich "cipher" manuscript, probably about five hundred years old, a scientific text in an unidentified language called "the most mysterious manuscript in the world." Written by hand in an unknown alphabet on vellum it has 102 leaves including 8 folding leaves with about 400 botanical and 33 astrological subjects in five colors. Some of the plants have been identified as peculiar to America, so the earliest date would be the time of Columbus. To this day no one has been able to decipher it. One of Kircher's former students, John Marcus Marci, found it and brought it to Kircher because of his work on universal languages saying, ". . . for such Sphinxes as these obey no one but their master, Kircher." The present name of the manuscript " Voynich" is the name of the donor who was willing to pay $160,000 "for a book no one could read." It once belonged to Athanasius Kircher and had been on display in his museum...

<Jesuit drama.. The first recorded performance was in 1551, at the College Mamertino at Messina, in Sicily >

An interesting coincidence:

Messina https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messina
In 1347, Messina was one of the first points of entry for the black death into Western Europe. Genoese galleys traveling from the infected city of Kaffa carried plague into the Messina ports. Kaffa had been infected via Asian trade routes and siege from infected Mongol armies led by Janibeg; it was a departure point for many Italian merchants who fled the city to Sicily. Contemporary accounts from Messina tell of the arrival of "Death Ships" from the East, which floated to shore with all the passengers on board already dead or dying of plague. Plague-infected rats probably also came aboard these ships. The black death ravaged Messina, and rapidly spread northward into mainland Italy from Sicily in the following few months.

According to Veith, after WW2 Pope John Paul XXIII gave Jesuit Theatre even broader horizons with his Mirana prorsus : http://www.vatican.va/content/pius-xii/ ... orsus.html
TO OUR VENERABLE BRETHREN THE PATRIARCHS, PRIMATES, ARCHBISHOPS, BISHOPS AND OTHER ORDINARIES IN PEACE AND COMMUNION WITH THE APOSTOLIC SEE ON MOTION PICTURES, RADIO AND TELEVISION

REASONS FOR THE CHURCH'S INTEREST

From the time when these arts first came into use, the Church welcomed them, not only with great joy, but also with a motherly care and watchfulness, having in mind to protect Her children from every danger, as they set out on this new path of progress.

This watchful care springs from the mission She has received from the Divine Saviour Himself ; for, as is clear to all, these new forms of art exercise very great influence on the manner of thinking and acting of individuals and of every group of men.

There is, in addition, another reason why the Church considers a matter of this kind to be particularly Her concern: Hers is the duty, and for a much stronger reason than all others can claim, of announcing a message to every man: this is the message of eternal salvation; a message unrivalled in its richness and power, a message, in fine, which all men of every race and every age must accept and embrace, according to the saying of the Apostle of the Gentiles: "To me, the least of all the saints, is given this grace, to preach among the gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to enlighten all men that they may see what is the mystery which hath been hidden from eternity in God, who created all things"...

..We are not a little comforted since We know that the addresses on this subject, both Our own and those of Our late predecessor of happy memory, Pius XI, have had considerable influence in directing the arts of Motion Pictures, Radio and Television to the task of recalling men to the pursuit of the perfection of their individual souls, and thus, to the promotion of God's glory....
John XXIII urged that Pius XI's national film reviewing offices be entrusted to men who are experienced in cinema, sound broadcasting, and television, under the guidance of a priest specially chosen by the Bishops..

Veith talks about the insertion of a global mindset through the use of the media... examples:

The Simpsons and Philosophy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Simps ... Philosophy
The book includes contributions from eighteen academics in the field of philosophy. Topics included are comparisons of the characters in the show, such as Homer Simpson and Aristotle, or Bart Simpson and Friedrich Nietzsche.[3] The book brings up topics such as why Homer's appeal is universal by arguing that he speaks to fundamental conflicts about what gives human pleasure...

..Steve Carroll of The Age criticized the book and others like it for watering down philosophical content while making tenuous connections with popular themes in order to maximize appeal to consumers.[16] The book was satirized in an article titled "The 'Popular Culture and Philosophy' Books and Philosophy: Philosophy, You’ve Officially Been Pimped", in the online journal Flow TV
According to Veith, the show's producers and writers come from Ivy League colleges , often with Philosophy and Mathematics degrees with occult knowledge, including numerology.

A Guardian article which smooths over the occult aspects : The Simpsons' secret formula: it's written by maths geeks https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radi ... imon-singh
Without doubt, the most mathematically sophisticated television show in the history of primetime broadcasting is The Simpsons... The first proper episode of the series in 1989 contained numerous mathematical references (including a joke about calculus), while the infamous "Treehouse of Horror VI" episode presents the most intense five minutes of mathematics ever broadcast to a mass audience. Moreover, The Simpsons has even offered viewers an obscure joke about Fermat's last theorem, the most notorious equation in the history of mathematics.

These examples are just the tip of the iceberg, because the show's writing team includes several mathematical heavyweights. Al Jean, who worked on the first series and is now executive producer, went to Harvard University to study mathematics at the age of just 16. Others have similarly impressive degrees in maths, a few can even boast PhDs, and Jeff Westbrook resigned from a senior research post at Yale University to write scripts for Homer, Marge and the other residents of Springfield.

When they moved from academia to Fox Studios, these writers retained their passion for numbers and they have secretly planted mathematical references in dozens of episodes. Until now, only extreme geeks have been aware that the writers have been smuggling mathematics into their scripts while the rest of the planet has been oblivious to the numerous nods to number theory and geometry.

The 2006 episode "Marge and Homer Turn a Couple Play", for example, contains a triple dose of secret mathematics. The storyline revolves around Marge and Homer's efforts to help baseball star Buck Mitchell and his wife Tabitha Vixx, who are experiencing marital difficulties. The episode climaxes with Tabitha appearing on the Jumbo Vision screen at the Springfield stadium, where she publicly proclaims her love for Buck. More important, just before she appears on the screen, it displays a question that asks the baseball fans in the crowd to guess the attendance.

Are you π-curious? [PIE or PI?]
The Simpsons has created several cameo roles for π, including in the episode "Bye, Bye, Nerdie" (2001). As Lisa waits in the wings to deliver a paper ("Airborne Pheromones and Aggression in Bullies") at the 12th Annual Big Science Thing, Professor Frink is struggling to bring the conference to order. Frustrated and desperate, Frink eventually calls out: "Scientists… Scientists, please! I'm looking for some order. Some order, please, with the eyes forward… and the hands neatly folded… and the paying of attention… π is exactly three!"...

The Roeper School is a private coeducational day school, with campuses in Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in Greater Detroit, serving students at all levels from preschool through the 12th grade. It was formerly known as Roeper City and Country School.

The Roeper School was founded in 1941 by George and Annemarie Roeper, who were forced to flee Nazi Germany. At the time the Roepers fled Europe, Annemarie had been invited by Anna Freud to be her protégé and, in fact, had completed her first year of medical school...

The school first moved to the Bloomfield Hills campus in 1946 and was designated a school for gifted children in 1956. ..
Annemarie Roeper https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annemarie_Roeper
Annemarie was born on August 27, 1918, in Vienna, Austria-Hungary, to parents Max and Gertrud Bondy.

Gertrud Bondy was a medical doctor as well as a psychologist in training with Sigmund Freud. Gertrud and her husband Max founded a series of schools focusing on, “psychoanalytic understanding of human development and a desire to educate children to build and thrive in a pluralistic, democratic society” including a school in the town of Marineau. Annemarie observed the strong independent educational ideals very early in life in the school that her parents were creating. Though the family consisted of mainstream Lutherans, the Bondys were of Jewish heritage. After the Nazi party came to power, Annemarie and her father Max fled their school in the spring of 1937 with the help of George Roeper and continued on to the United States in 1939. Annemarie married George Roeper in New York City on April 20, 1939, and began a new adventure...

Annemarie Roeper never fully finished any higher education past high school. While a medical student at the University of Vienna in 1937, she was the youngest person to ever be accepted to study child psychoanalysis with Sigmund and Anna Freud...

Veith says that the early Hollywood movie stars were high level 33rd degree masons.. such as John Wayne, Frank Sinatra etc. He mentions Sammy Davis Jr. who was known to be Church of Satan affiliated and was also a Knight of Malta.

He shows a picture of Lionel Richie with j. donald monan (President of Jesuit Boston College)
