Voat.xyz was up a moment ago.
I saw the discussion very recently in regard to how poal was never attacked. And now it is down. Poal must be legit /sEdit:
archive of Voat.xyz. It has approximately 1100 links for the first week of its birth. The archive is 1 week old, but still better than nothing while it is down. Poal admin said it was a billing issue. I call bullshit. At least 3 sites went down at the same time. Can't all have "billing issues".

Yeah, and Putt said it was a finance issue with old Voat and refused dozens of people offering donations on the spot... Hopefully this is benign and not glowniggers taking over under gag order. Maybe they already do control these sites. Either way, the relative lack of censorship is refreshing.

Hey guys. We're back.
Chat has been disabled again as someone found a way to abuse it and crash the server. For the time being, registration has been blocked on VPNs which are being used to attack the site. This is a temporary solution. With each attack we get stronger and they have to spend more of their time coming up with another way to succeed. It's clear this person has a legit hatred for what voat stands for. Which only encourages me to keep going. It wouldnt be voat without downtime, but I want to be clear, unlike voat.co this site is not going anywhere. As long as I am alive I will work on keeping this site up and going.
After looking around a bit, it looks like this person leaked one of their legit IPs. Now here's a question to all you people paranoid about your IPs, what do I do with it now?
