Biden's a terrible pic. He's got dementia,which was obvious during the dem elections,and he's not popular. Bernie had some backing and even Kamala was at least known and wasn't crazy. So why did they saddle themselves with that albatross? Why not just run Kamala? Or Bernie? Why even bother with Biden if they're just going to rig the election so hard they can't lose?

Maybe they want the symbolic 'negress takes over from the senile white guy' moment.

So they use Biden to push through their crap and when he loses popularity,Kamala comes in and takes over and doesn't actually undo anything,the media just says everything is ok now.

This seems at least a part explanation

Other possibilites include that those who are really making the decisions just thought fuck it and put a literal puppet in charge. The election was rigged anyway, Biden is a global brand for corruption to it reassures the swamp rats. He and his family are so balls deep in everything they present no threat of exposure from within. They can literally do whatever they wish now. Hunter may need to be suicided though.
