While drastic service cuts are off the table for now and Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) leaders anticipate $6.2 billion in capital project commitments in 2021, they are also calling on the passage of President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan to help it bridge a nearly $8-billion deficit through 2024.
