think of Element, poal, searchvoat and the other little ones as stepping stones along the way.. or maybe they'll become new homes. Chin up goat, we're okay :)

Element.io.

Federated chat servers by matrix.org. It is a sort of whatsapp, but creating your own server would be possible, and it is claimed that the organization has no means to see what is being communicated. However, as far as I understand it, it all depends on the third party services being employed on a conference room and the services & security each participant uses.

What I also find concerning is the move to SM-login features/ bridges etc.

I guess in the raw setup it is more secure than zoom. And it provides for screensharing, making collaborative efforts possible.

Perhaps this will help to contemplate: consider swarming.

Been thinking the exact same thing. I’m having to subscribe to several sites.... none come close to Voat even if it’s just that the color schemes too off or noisy.

Do we have one? Do we need our own server?
