Someone found out that a hedge fund was shorting Gamestop for billions of dollars and spread it around 4chan and reddit. Now people are buying and pumping the stock price to force them to pay the higher price. Its so bad that the market had to force a halt on stock buys because the hedge fund is getting fucked hard. I've never heard of halt happening on buys before this shit is pretty crazy.
