If a user asks for comments to be removed, do all nested replies also disappear on the archived post?

"Trying to access array offset on value of type bool (/var/www/searchvoat.co/www/submission.php 309)"

I've often found many comments accessible in searchvoat searches, but when I attempt to follow the permalink for context, I get the afformentioned error/message.

Is this a bug? If a user asks for comments to be removed, can you simply remove the text while maintaining the comment space or is the intention of "removing" to remove any evidence the account ever posted here at all?

@SearchVoat

I understand this may be a necessary flaw in the archive, but it's somewhat unfair to the other commenters in that their comments are inaccessible on the OP.

Can you give me an example of a link that gives that error?

Sure, there are many but here's an example. @Atko 's former biz partner Zook responds to a deleted acct

"1) 2 people, Atko and me. We are from Bosnia/Sweden and Luxembourg respectively and met in Zurich, Switzerland :) Also @PuttItOut, nurdoidz, danielflamino helped a great deal to make the site!

2) This is not a top priority right now, but we will keep you posted, it is definitely on the list."

The comment is visible when searching for Zook's comment history but not in the permalink above or the post itself.

Well, shit.

At some point in the distant past I've decided to save space by hard-deleting deleted comments. Forgot about the parent/child links. I'll go hunting for old backups but in the meantime I've worked around it by treating comments with deleted parents as if they were root comments.

Idk if it's related to your tinkering, but I'm currently getting this error when searching for old posts

Still appears to be an issue.

Here's an example, rspix000 comment is available in SV search:

https://searchvoat.co/v/news/2132170/10515473

But isn't viewable in OP

Fix version 2.0. That example appears now. Hopefully it will all be good now. Thanks for letting me know, please keep me posted.
