BTW, I felt the need to say this because I'm a huge Lovecraft fan. He did not visit Antarctica. As a matter of fact, he hated everything cold and the ocean (reflected on his works; At the mts of Madness, Call of Cthulhu, Cool air, Shadow over Innsmouth). That pic you posted is a work of art, a homage to him. He's photographed next to an "Elder Thing"; one of the monsters of his book "At the mts of madness".
Thanks, I figured it wasn't a real pic as everything looked superimposed. It seems to fit the Buzz Aldrin freak out though. It's interesting to read about anyway.
