He turned out to be some wild government-apologist who appears to have no capacity to accept anything that shows them to be anything other than altruistic. I really only care if something happens to him because I am the one who will be left holding the bag on his complex estate if he keels over and I am NOT in the mood.

I assume you mean all their newfangled shot? I say this because I have no intention of getting the ChiCom flu vaccine, or the regular flu vaccine.
But I am expecting my first grandchild in a couple months and I am going to get a pertussis booster because the pediatrician suggests it. The risk to me is close to non-existent and although the risk is low I'd feel horrible if my new grandchild caught the whooping cough because I were carrying it.
