Here is the troll post in question. He got banned for trolling. But there was something interesting in the habit of removal. The admin made a similar mistake as the one observed on votal.net. He deleted the community and then restored it, when he just wanted to remove the post. This happened on votal.net quite a lot. If you go to lemmy.ml's modlog, the admins there have not done it by mistake.

Interesting... Is that a lemmy thing where in order to remove posts/users/mods you have to remove the community? I remember carpathianfaggot flaunting the fact that votal was yet another censorous cancer.

The faq site is now live at https://guardiansoffreespeech.com/
There might be misspellings here or there. It was just a quick site I wrote up a few weeks ago.
There you will find static (non dynamic) details about this site. I’m putting all this under my new llc called guardiansoffreespeechLLC so legal stuff and donation links will go there. Hopefully eventually a merch site too. Plan is to have referral codes for users to get a cut out of any merch sold. That way shit posters can get rewarded for all their shit posting. Shit posting is what keeps people coming back for more. So that behavior should be rewarded. Discussion should also be rewarded. Need to come up with ways to reward that.
Monetization is important to keep a project alive but it’s also important to lay a good foundation of rules so it doesn’t perverse our freedom of discussion. I’ve noticed if you post anything negative of China over at reddit it gets censored pretty quick. That probably has to do with Chinese dollars. We don’t want any of that kinda censorship here. so every dollar needs to come from the community somehow.
If we ever add advertisements if will be advertisements users themselves buy. Like with your regular user account not some corporate back ally deal.
I also want to use crypto as often as possible for exchanges. Though that makes things legally complicated.
That is a ways off.
My hope is that if I get sued for any stupid reason they will need to sue guardiansoffreespeechLLC which is it’s own legal entity and that will give me some protections. If I need to I can just walk away from the company and let it collapse. Then reopen another one.
No need for donations yet, so far it’s only costed my like 12$ to host this.

We do not currently have a policy against it that may be revisited if it is a problem. We do not have much manpower to moderate that and it’s to easy for illegal content to be slipped in.

All legal speech. We reserve the right to delete content that is obviously planted by governments, competing companies, or bots. Any content intented to actually further a conversation will not be removed.
Why did you start with lemmy? Aren’t those guys commies?
It’s not productive to build anything from scratch. We beleive in the ideals of federation, democratic development and the sharing of code. While we lean more liberarian here, populism is key to our collective freedom. We will fight our fight and respect their code liscenses.

The guardiansoffreespeech.com was set up with basic info. Its about page claimed to support all speech. It suggested users to downvote posts they do not like and move on.

Seeing as how people would follow a wolfballs community from another instance and then just downvote all the post I don’t see the value in counting foreigner votes. This isn’t California or New York we don’t accept illegals voting. They have to apply to become legal citizens (aka make a local account).

As you can see from the table below, all the downvotes seem to be coming from elsewhere,

If two instances were tightly coupled perhaps it would make sense to keep them but Votes don’t really add much to the conversation except as a form of protest to the information. I think I only care about local user’s negative opinions. People who are invested emotionally in wolfballs.
