Not bans, a bug. From when I franticly blocked displaying IP addresses etc yesterday. Did something I can't remember how to undo. Working hard on it now.

I quibble with "ban". No-one was banned. It's a glitch is all, trying hard to fix now.Thisismyaccount wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 10:07 pm I take it the bans are still in place then? If so, then you answered my question.
You should have @SearchVoat undo all your bans, then you can have the joy of rebanhammering. I had so much fun banning the qtard mods from my sub on OV. Didn't matter that they didn't care, it was still fun.Thisismyaccount wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 10:07 pm I take it the bans are still in place then? If so, then you answered my question.
I was just messing with you. I actually forgot that we couldn't ban users here ourselves. Kinda takes all the fun out of it.Thisismyaccount wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 10:27 pm The bans on certain users had to be put in place by SearchVoat by our request. Unless we can now do the bans ourselves now. Hence my original question.
Ah you mean user bans, sorry I misunderstood. Yes those bans are still in effect.Thisismyaccount wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 10:27 pm The bans on certain users had to be put in place by SearchVoat by our request. Unless we can now do the bans ourselves now. Hence my original question.
I agree, but so far there've been so few bans, and making changes to phpBB is so hard, that it hasn't been worth it. Still on the to do list.Thisismyaccount wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 10:39 pm Ok thanks good to know. However, going forward maybe you should look into giving the sub mods the tools to ban users for their transgressions.
