And what I–and many others–are attempting to make you understand is that
you do not understand what “freedom of speech” actually fucking means.
The Founding Fathers had absolutely no goddamned intention of allowing anyone to say anything at any time, for any reason. They wanted to enshrine protection of a man’s right to question his government and the application of his society’s laws. At no time did they so much as tolerate pornography, slovenliness, or moral degeneracy within society. Such speech has NEVER been protected. Ever. “Fire” in a crowded theater once had higher protections than that, and with good reason.
We don’t support the libertine bullshit definition of today. We don’t support the (((libertarian))) conception of “freedom” to be degenerate. We never have. THAT SHIT IS WHAT GOT US IN THIS MESS. “Freedom of speech” means “protection of the self and insurance of message retention when expressing the truth.”
Gotta agree with you there. Voting should operationally do absolutely nothing. It should have no power over users’ ability to use or access a website. And I'm not even against vote gaming being against the rules -- it should be.
If that’s the extent of your position, then I’ll have to apologize. But instead of just putting it into the rules...
