Are nukes a hoax?

I don't have an answer for this one, but I have a gut feeling that tells me it's bullshit to keep people frightened and globalist. We need a world government to "peacefully" settle disputes, disarm all nations and protect us from mutual destruction!! This narrative, as I've shown in another post, already existed before nukes were invented; FDR already spoke of this, and the League of Nations intended to disarm the world. Even Alfred Nobel thought that wars deterred after inventing dynamite, since armies could bomb each other and destroy entire countries.

I remember searching up stuff about nuclear winter over a year ago for fun, and there's no evidence to suggest using nukes would end the world. Even hypothetical computer models don't prove it. That said I'd rather not see it tested in case it is true they'd end the world.

Maybe we could counteract global warming with nuclear winter. I don't get how CO2 keeps heat insulated within, but nuclear fallout would cover the sun. Shouldn't CO2 shroud the world from the sun, thus cooling it?

Well I believe CO2 sinks, so in theory it should end up in water. Which I guess heats it up and in turn the world, somehow? I don't really know. Nuking the planet, if the worst case scenario is to be believed, would do more harm than good.
