Settings night v day

Post by kestrel9 »

On the day setting (silver) I always see my user name. I tried setting to the night mode choices and on some (most) pages my user name does not show up.

It's fine, it's because of the design of the page layout of the two different styles. On the day mode the words 'notifications' 'private messages' and 'username (with a little goat icon)' are spelled out at the right hand side, and 'quick links' 'RSS' and 'FAQ' are spelled out on the left, all on the same bar.

On the night/black layout the top bar has 'forums' 'Members' written on the left hand side and the icons for RSS, FAQ, username, private messages, notifications, and logout, are all on the right side of the bar without words spelled out (dropbox instead). Just different styles. When viewing the user control panel page on black mode, an ADDITIONAL user icon with spelled out name shows up on the left hand side, but the original bar above it remains the same as I described. I think that's what threw me off, seeing the name spelled on one page, but not in general on all pages. I had not realized it was an extra username icon.
