We were delivering a grader to the station. It's a dirt strip and needs to be graded.

1990 on a 2 week deployment. I had done a 6 month deployment from Oct 82-Apr 83 and was tasked after that for the operation we did every year. I had Arctic experience and was always tasked for the deployments after that. I didn't mind going back up there during the summer and winter months. I preferred the summer deployment of course . 24 hours of daylight and rugged beauty of the Arctic.

My CO once told me I was his most experienced soldier, hence the deployments all over the place. I didn't mind since I got extra pay for it all and saw alot of the world for free that way.
