This pisses me off
Two things bother me here.
1) That's not a gaucho.
2) That they got rid of it out of political correctness. No self-respecting Argentinian would feel "oppressed" by this, but we would be irritated by the inaccuracy. I mean, if that's a gaucho, then this is a cowboy
What? They're both North American, they both speak English, wear hats and ride horses...
Apparently we're Hawaii
Or Malibu
A classic. Villa Gesell is a seaside city on the Atlantic Coast. Mountains are in the west.
This is like saying "Yellowstone National Park, Texas" or "Grand Canyon, Rhode Island".

I imagine Argentina was pretty based since they accuse them of harboring Hitler and his evil Nazis after the war. This misrepresentation looks intentional.

I appreciate the compliment, but you're giving us too much credit. There are two myths surrounding us on the internet. One is "Argentina = nazi am i rite guise??!!??" and the other one is "omg they were actually white"antiliberalsociety wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 12:26 pm I imagine Argentina was pretty based since they accuse them of harboring Hitler and his evil Nazis after the war. Harboring the nazis was something a specific regime (the peronist regime) did, unbeknownst to the general public. Ironically, that regime's legacy ended up being taken over by the left, so an average peronist today would vote for the same candidate that created the "Ministry of women, diversity and inclusion" (actual name, not a joke), would support the existence of the INADI (a state-run "anti-discrimination" institute which can impose fines for "hate speech").
Nowadays "peronist" is an umbrella term for the old-school, lazy-ass, labor union/public employee/football hooligan corrupt fatsos, the "spic" (if you will, we call them niggers around here but they're Hispanic) welfare leeches with a dozen "blessings" who all need feeding and the SJW idiots who don't know who Perón really was.
We're not "white". There is lots of variety (trying to avoid the word diversity here). We used to be whiter as a nation, and there are plenty of us who are indeed boob-white. But if you go to the north of the country you'll find plenty of Argentinians who have always been closer to Bolivians in their ethnicity, and here in the city, the immigration-fueled browning is overtly clear. Our people collectively voted for diversity, inclusion, LGBT, a state-run economy, terrorists, etc. We're less politically correct than America in many ways, though, but we're far from based.
Edit: I found a video of someone who looks like an average Argentinian (at least where I live). Her face just gives away her nationality (and so do her mannerisms). She kind of looks like someone one would know.

Thanks! To be fair... they don't have to teach about Argentina, though. They only do so when hammering the idea that "nahtzee bad!!!"antiliberalsociety wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 9:43 pm I appreciate your blunt honesty. Thanks for that background, I never knew. Speaking of Nazis fleeing to Argentina, what do you know of the Antarctica claim that they had a secret base there (which is now proven)?

I think it's all bullshit. To be fair, everything about the nazis is obscure in terms of historical accuracy thanks to Allied, masonic, leftist and Jewish propaganda, so there's no way of knowing anything for certain.antiliberalsociety wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 10:03 pm Speaking of Nazis fleeing to Argentina, what do you know of the Antarctica claim that they had a secret base there (which is now proven)?
I heard that the Natsoc were doing research on the ideas of the Vril society, Theosophy, the existence of an inner-earth world known as Agartha, and other such delusions. The only one that does hold up some water is that of Hyperborea; an ancient, fairly-advanced Aryan civilization. It accounts for the "blue-eyed gods" and the swastikas found in different cultures and for structures such as Stonehenge, Angkor Wat, the Pyramids, Puma Punku, and others which require a high level of complex work which wouldn't be consistent with Bronze Age Peoples.
Argentina does own a swath of land in Antarctica but we don't use it that much and there are no rumours about it. Perhaps tangentially related, thanks to his nazi contacts Perón did get in touch with an Austrian scientist/conman called Richter to have him work on cold fusion (basically, getting nuclear energy from the air itself; practically an unlimited source of energy) and provided him with a research base in Patagonia (in the Nahuel Huapí Lake). This was known as "Proyecto Huemul" and needless to say, it was a major scam.

Interesting. I stumbled down a rabbit hole that delved deep into Antarctica, and I think the "Inner Eath/Hollow Earth" theory is a psyop that deflects away from the Agartha subject. I made it a megapost with all my findings, the Nazis actually did have an outpost there. One theory is they fled there with their best technology prior to the end of the war to keep it safe from enemies hands.Skeptic5001 wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 10:29 pmI think it's all bullshit. It's a long read, but I thought it fit in with the Argentina thing as it would have made a good jumping off point. Let me know your thoughts on it when you get time to read through it.

I honestly don't know what to think anymore. I think you may have discovered one huge rabbit hole. You're probably onto something. Keep me posted, I'm curious.
BTW, I felt the need to say this because I'm a huge Lovecraft fan. He did not visit Antarctica. As a matter of fact, he hated everything cold and the ocean (reflected on his works; At the mts of Madness, Call of Cthulhu, Cool air, Shadow over Innsmouth). That pic you posted is a work of art, a homage to him. He's photographed next to an "Elder Thing"; one of the monsters of his book "At the mts of madness".

Thanks, I figured it wasn't a real pic as everything looked superimposed. It seems to fit the Buzz Aldrin freak out though. It's interesting to read about anyway.Skeptic5001 wrote: ↑Fri May 20, 2022 12:00 am I honestly don't know what to think anymore. I think you may have discovered one huge rabbit hole.
