More on Carl Bildt:
Nils Daniel Carl Bildt (born 15 July 1949) is a Swedish politician and diplomat who was Prime Minister of Sweden from 1991 to 1994. He was the leader of the Moderate Party from 1986 to 1999. Bildt served as Sweden's Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2006 to 2014.
In 2000, Bildt joined the Lundin Group's board of directors, a company with oil interests in Ethiopia and Sudan - the seven years with the Lundin Group that followed made Bildt a wealthy man.

Lundin Energy (former Lundin Petroleum) is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company formed from Lundin Oil in 2001 and based in Sweden with focus on operations in Norway.

The Lundin Group seems to be doing all kinds of shady things and you can read about it here

I'll just quote one thing from this article:
They have invested considerable resources in re-profiling the Group and making it more socially acceptable. They have started a philanthropic operation – Lundin for Africa, and have also donated $100 million to the Clinton Foundation.
The founder of the Lundin Group is Adolf H. Lundin (1932-2006), he married Eva Wehtje.

Eva Wehtje comes from another wealthy Swedish family with connections to the Wallenberg family.
In 1957 he (Adolf) married Eva, the daughter of Walter Wehtje, who spent most of his career working for the Wallenbergs, the wealthiest Swedish business dynasty, rising to CEO of Investor AB, the family’s holding company. Eva’s sister, Olga, married Marc Wallenberg, heir apparent to the business empire until his suicide in 1971. The Wallenberg connection gave Lundin badly needed cachet when he began to promote himself as a natural-resources entrepreneur.

I'll just end by quoting George Carlin: "It's a big club and you ain't in it."
