The Ratel ZT3 crew: Major Hannes Nortman, Johan Jacobs, Neels Claasen and gunner Darren Nelson
They took out 4 Cuban/FAPLA soviet-supplied T55 tanks at the Lomba River (Angola) during Operation Modular on 10 Sep 1987. The then newly developed Ratel ZT3 had a "black box" that recorded the crew's actions when the missile system was selected - and as a result, this stunning piece of history of our White South African servicemen has been preserved. It hots up and is more audible around the 5 minute mark of the audio.
S.African Ratel ZT3 crew that took out 4 cuban/FAPLA Soviet-supplied T55 tanks in 1987, plus the black box audio!

Excellent submission CD5 thanks. If you take a look at the Africa photos I submitted, the 2 armored vehicles are Ratel's.
