Why is there now a separate sign in request for searchvoat archives?

I was able to use it this morning. I'm still signed in to the forum but a pop up sign-in request occurs when I tried to search the archives.

The page no longer shows as it did initially. Only the blank page with popup, then the message(since I didn't sign in to access I guess. Seems off to have to login separately for a feature that is offered on the board index when I'm already logged on).

You might get that on a VPN or over TOR or if you've exceeded some kind of search limit, if you DM me the IP address I can check.

The forum and search servers are entirely separate and don't share data in real time, so search cannot use your forum sign-in.

If you need to sign in, use the special SearchVoat password sent to your Voat Inbox - if you've changed your password on the forum it won't be recognised for search.
