Something seems off about SearchVoat's search result.

Post by MadWorld »

This snapshot shows that the last known comment from Voat.xyz was from 2 hours ago; yet there are comments newer than 2 hours. You can check that in Voat.xyz's bump section for newer comments. Are newer comments of older submissions fetched from the site as well?

With only voat.xyz search option on, the submission from SearchVoat forum also appeared in the result. It was a submission; yet, it was included in the comments search.

@SearchVoat

While trying to submit this report to SubsAndMods, I also got the following error:
Fatal error: Uncaught Twig\Error\LoaderError: There are no registered paths for namespace "zukero_usernamebbcode". in /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Loader/FilesystemLoader.php:227 Stack trace: #0 /home/public/phpbb/template/twig/loader.php(135): Twig\Loader\FilesystemLoader->findTemplate('zukero_usernam...', true) #1 /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Loader/FilesystemLoader.php(150): phpbb\template\twig\loader->findTemplate('zukero_usernam...') #2 /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Environment.php(299): Twig\Loader\FilesystemLoader->getCacheKey('zukero_usernam...') #3 /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Environment.php(381): Twig\Environment->getTemplateClass('zukero_usernam...') #4 /home/public/phpbb/template/twig/environment.php(292): Twig\Environment->loadTemplate('zukero_usernam...', NULL) #5 /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Environment.php(359): phpbb\template\twig\environment->loadTemplate('zukero_usernam...') #6 /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Environment.php(318): Twig\Environment->load('zukero_usernam. in /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Loader/FilesystemLoader.php on line 227

One thing that's changed is that I have to log on all the time.

I had that issue with Opera but not with Waterfox.
With the former, I had to leave the main page open in another tab after logging in and had to refresh every so often (5 ~ 15 minutes by my estimate) to keep the session alive; any interaction outside that tab before doing so would cause me to have to log back in.
A tedious solution, to be sure.

It does limit the accessibility of SearchVoat results since the number of user accounts that got passwords in Voat's final days is also very limited. However you could share an archived version of the result, eliminating the need for a login access. If I remember correctly, some users were trying to get their data back and were unable to do so on Voat.co. They might have tried it on SearchVoat, which probably resulted in those IPs been blocked.

I just tried to submit a reply on another post and got a freaky error. So I'm trying again here:

"Good time for a shout out "Thank you!" to @SearchVoat. Thanks SearchVoat!"

You're welcome!

Yes I think that other post went through ok - do you have any more info about the error?

Yes:

Fatal error: Uncaught Twig\Error\LoaderError: There are no registered paths for namespace "zukero_usernamebbcode". in /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Loader/FilesystemLoader.php:227 Stack trace: #0 /home/public/phpbb/template/twig/loader.php(135): Twig\Loader\FilesystemLoader->findTemplate('zukero_usernam...', true) #1 /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Loader/FilesystemLoader.php(150): phpbb\template\twig\loader->findTemplate('zukero_usernam...') #2 /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Environment.php(299): Twig\Loader\FilesystemLoader->getCacheKey('zukero_usernam...') #3 /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Environment.php(381): Twig\Environment->getTemplateClass('zukero_usernam...') #4 /home/public/phpbb/template/twig/environment.php(292): Twig\Environment->loadTemplate('zukero_usernam...', NULL) #5 /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Environment.php(359): phpbb\template\twig\environment->loadTemplate('zukero_usernam...') #6 /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Environment.php(318): Twig\Environment->load('zukero_usernam. in /home/public/vendor/twig/twig/src/Loader/FilesystemLoader.php on line 227

Edit: I just noticed the Fatal error that @MadWorld posted (same as mine apparently), so it's not so freaky after all lol

Thanks @kestrel9 and @MadWorld for letting me know about the "Fatal Error" posting bug. I think it happened when you at-mention a user and who has "notify mentions by email" set in the UCP - such as @SearchVoat. Should be fixed now.
