Sheffield United midfielder John Fleck collapsed during a game at Reading on Tuesday. Fleck was taken off the field on a stretcher after being given treatment and oxygen. The 30-year-old Scottish international fell to the ground mid-play and teammates quickly signaled for medical assistance. Fleck was rushed to hospital but discharged this morning.
According to The Star, all Sheffield players received their second jab in August.

Former professional footballer Trevor Sinclair asked during a live broadcast by TalkSPORT, an English radio station broadcasting sporting discussions, if Fleck had received the vaccine, however, the live feed was suddenly cut after Sinclair asked the question.
Sinclair asked today in a tweet whether the long list of footballers and other top athletes who have suddenly collapsed on the field of play in recent months was connected to the COVID vaccine.“I think everyone wants to know if he’s had the COVID vaccine?”
Premier League legend and former England international player Matt Le Tissier called for an investigation after Fleck’s collapse mid-game last night.
The incident comes less than a month after fully vaccinated Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero suffered breathing difficulties during Barca’s match with Alaves last month. The former Manchester city all-time goalscorer was later diagnosed with heart damage and is rumoured to soon announce his retirement from professional football.
